Kathy, those BR's are beautiful - you done good!!! And three trios gives you a great mix and match set up.

Amy- scrambled eggs and vitamins? I am waiting for a big molt to happen - so far just light feather scattering happening here, and I agree with you, I hate to see it happen just before winter sets in. With my luck it will probably hit them all at the end of October or something.

Yeah, Cyn, is the baby going to get picked up later?

It's odd that Stitch in Time was written up in a rag, and then disappeared. But I guess that is a sign of the economy, huh? Gloria Jean, let me look at my week and you look at yours and I will pm you sometime today or tomorrow about picking up Cloud.

This dilemma of eating roos. The Dels were tasty, but my two little boys, I dunno - even DH has fallen for Boo and Ivan the Terrible. He sneaks off to watch them when he thinks I am not looking and laughs his head off. I shouldn't have named them. I guess I don't get a layers pen after all, they will be my non breeding girls protectors.

One of the neighbors came over and confessed to thinking her DD's dog got Hermione and also one of the neighbor's chickens. There was feather evidence on her porch for the neighbor's, and the dog has been up here two or three times. She rushed at the run on one of those visits, and I had to scold her and send her home. So no one free ranges till the dog goes back home. Neighbor said she will keep her close, she is not happy with the situation either, as her cats do not like this dog and will not go outside anymore. And actually, the number of lost hunting dogs around here, especially in the fall, is legion, and I probably will just keep everyone penned up forever.

Alexander is fine today - he watches me give treats, watches me put something down for him, and then eats it after I leave. Men.

Janelle, I love the look of Cochins, but are the feathered feet just a mess all the time? I am a bit worried about that with my new Orp kids- that fluff hides their legs and feet, and I am wondering if I will literally have to bury their run in pine bark or something. And are their buns in your new hutch yet? I want buns, but I would never be able to eat them.

Cetawin, here is hoping this new week will bring resolution!

No, most likely blue baby will have to find another home. She has some flock issues that will take awhile to resolve, I fear. I'm hoping that another member, who is supposed to be in touch with me tomorrow when she gets back into town, will take both boys. The blue boy is getting to like me and it won't be long before I'm attached to the little drama king so he has to go SOON!

There are black and red feathers under the old ladies' special overhang that Tom built. Looks like a feathered bed under there--all of those are from Olivia and Reba, but Reba is fully re-feathered and Olivia is working on it with quills sticking up on top of her head for her new pouf coming in. Olivia's tummy is small but hard as a rock, so I know there is all manner of solid gunk built up in there. At least, the fluid isn't coming back and she can walk and run just fine.

Working on this quilt like a madwoman. Not sure I liked the white in the current border, but the customer likes white over black (I'm the opposite) and I incorporated it. The border after this one will be a deep blue, I think (possible blue fabric laid out on the edge)

I think Im with you on the white on that quilt, but the inside square, inside the orange border, is just GORGEOUS!!!! What a beautiful fall quilt with those colors. Love it!!

Well, if he hates it, then I'll have to buy more fabric. Sheesh, even at good prices, that runs into some money! I didnt have near enough fabrics in my stash in these colors to do much on this quilt, so most of it is newly purchased. However, he may love it since he likes white more than I do. And it will really come alive when quilted. That will take a couple months, at least. Plus I have other projects I want to get started on, too. I need to be two people!

Im sure he won't hate it; its how he wants it, isnt it? And it really is very pretty. Id love to see the part outside the orange border in dark colors, maybe dark blues. It would make the middle really pop out. But thats just me. You do just wonderful work, you really do. Maybe we need to clone you!

It's so funny, but the orange is really a deep, deep intense gold color, not actually orange. It's so dang dark today, I have no good natural light, but if I was using my old camera, even with a flash, it would be too grainy to see. My new one does so much better in low light! Thanks, Kathy, I was trying for a gradient effect on that section and I think it turned out pretty well.
