Oh, you are SO READY to build stuff now.

Someday, I will actually finish it. It only needs a door, a little trim and the roof. So lazy.

LOL. Um......okay I have no real plans. Make 4x4 square. That requires 4 boards that are 48" long and 8 boards that are 45" long.

Here is the frame before i added the sides....LOL...it was so darn useful, too.

Then take those good ol 4x4 pieces of plywood. Cut a nice window whereever you think it fits well. Your "hole" should be approx 20" wide and as tall as you want. Then you can staple a 24" wide piece of hardware cloth across it. Screwing the framing over it will screw the hardware cloth down.

Make 2 of these. Make a third and cut a "pop door" opening at the bottom....whatever size works best for you.

Clamp each of these walls to the sides of your 48" square. Screw on.

Okay, that's as far as I've gotten. LOL. The back is still empty....I plan on making it about halfway solid and half a full door. Will also frame the pop door and add sliders to have a guillotine type door on it. Not sure on roofing material yet. It will be a basic sloping roof. Highest in front, sloping to the back.

Here you can see the inside of what I have so far.

Super easy, not the sturdiest thing ever, but I don't plan to drop it off a cliff either. Once the roof is on and the back wall, it will be sturdier than needed!

eta: obviously it needs roosts, 2 nesting boxes and feeder and waterer hangers as well. Eventually!

Oh good grief...I turn my back for a couple of hours and Kathy is digging through her garage, Beth is without heat in vehicle, Cyn is trying to catch this ick that Cheyenne brought home Thursday, Nella is converting everyone and enabling them...WTH? Can I not leave ya'll alone at all?

*ducks and tries to run away* cough cough sneeze*

LOL, what am i converting them to again? Carpenters? Ha ha ha. Part time carpenter (full time dork) here.

I should put up plans for my temporary fencing panels....remember those? Darn all these projects.....

OOOh, check out this pic I found on a bantam duck something or other thread. I am borrowing it just to put here since we were recently talking about building something similar.

NEAT.

Ya know, Nella, you should take all these plans and make BYC pages out of them ........

then, I could just go look at them to prepare for my next project.

DH has plans to make the storage garage (which is actually a garage hooked onto the guest house) into a wood working shop when he retires in a couple years. I may have to give up my quilt studio in the basement, and start working from here. (*so I can brood chicks in that garage this winter*)

My basement is a walk out basement with a patio just outside the door, and outside electricity ..... that would be perfect to do wood working projects, wouldn't it!
