I started a 4x8 little coop today. I have the "platform," thingy done ....

Oooh ooh......I wish i could build things for a living. Sigh. And I wish building materials were cheaper. Although I swear the plywood I use is less than it used to be. I bought 3 sheets and used half of one to finish the brooder and need another half to finish the 4x4 coop. That leaves 2 to build something else with, ha ha ha.

Sad part is, I have no way to get the new brooder down to the garage and even if i did I have nowhere to put it until I do some remodeling down there. I guess I'll just stand around and admire it some more.


The lady that bought the hens this morning mentioned how she should come up and have a building party.......sounds like fun to me!

If anyone within a couple hour drive wants to have a building party one weekend and i am free.....i am so there!

Hmm, now how far are you from me, Janelle? Thinking, thinking....maybe you could just come get the Firetower to take home with you and build me a spanking new small coop that is "walk-in-able".

LOL....I am west of Knoxville, TN.....

Do you have a pic of the firetower coop? I've heard it mentioned a bunch of times but don't know what it looks like!

I really need to host a building party...I was wanting to have a "special BYCers" get together here at our place in the Spring....bring your babies to sell/trade, eat my food, pet my horse etc etc and just hang out. Stay over, camp out whatever type thing.

hmmmmm a building party...interesting idea.

Cool I am thinking the end of March area/First of April but I do not want to interfer with Easter goings on...suggest some dates ya'll cause the SDWD thread members are sure invitees
