I'm always checking on the broody, and liftin her up to see the eggs... and lawd she's NOT a happy camper when I do that... Like Nella's, she bout takes my arm off... drew blood a few times too, but she IS a good sitter

Well, he's in with a young jake. The jake has only ever lived with guineas his whole life but I will definetly keep an eye on them for fighting though.

That's funny about the turkey. My late great Hawkeye was housed in a pen with a huge turkey when I found him. Had a gouge out of his comb from being on the downside of a battle with his too-strong roommate.

The lone Dellie baby has gone to live with muddstopper now, thank goodness. Thank you, Bill! If even one more had hatched, I'd have kept them both, but a lone chick is not a good thing.

Just placed the Dellie chick in with a bunch of other chicks and it seems to be settleing in just fine. Amazing the difference in the size of the Dellie and the just hatched buckeyes that are its new brothers and sisters. By this time next wk I should have a bunch more little dellies to go along with it as well.

Now off to finish building the new brooder box, babies have to have a place to live. I'll take some pic once I have them all out of the hatcher and in the brooder.

Cassidy- OH MY GOD! That's perfect! I had a great friend named Cassidy who just... vanished. No one knows what happened to her. She just was gone one day with a full house. And I still (after 2 years) miss her terribly! Perfect!

Cassidy it is

Dumb question, but which is bigger? Thank you for giving her a home. She was really wanting buddies, we could tell by how she kept sitting by her reflection in the mirror.

Nick, I think Cassidy is a very pretty name. My girl was very sweet and I wish she had lived longer.

Cetawin - I spied on Cheyenne, and she was a perfect angel the whole time- met up with her and Lori this morning, before I got your message- they were getting along like long lost buddies, and I think she had a great time. I can neigther here my phone ring nor feel it vibrate, so am missing messages right and left - it's just wild in there. Really, you should have let her bring the bunnies home, they were cute!
CYn got you Porcelaine pics, some other great birds here, and some really nice people. I missed the BYC pic at noon cuz I was gabbing with Del person, but it's been great so far.
More later folks!
