Well, I think Brittney and baby are coming home today. That is the plan. Still waiting for her to call. The hospital is only a couple miles away.

Guess we will have to build another coop this weekend ........................ for Brock! Brittney has now taken over the guest house, and I really do not want to add any new residents to MY house. I like my privacy and I like quiet. Awwww, gezzzzzz ..... another coop ..... that is the only alternative I see.

Pictures of the baby are buried back in the SDWD history. LOL I can't even post any new ones, because B has my camera with her at the hospital. Of course, tonight I will have it!

I am worried about cetawin. She has got to be at near exhaustion (physically and mentally). I sure wish there was more than cyber hugs that I could offer.

Beth, I am so glad you are back and had a good time at Ohio Nationals. You need to give me some tips for the Shawnee show. I believe water fowl will prevail there, but am hopeful there will be some Large Fowl birds to oogle at. Is it important to be there "early?" Like the night before?

Yes, I do believe Ms Speckledhen is about to turn a year older. Where is the party?

Okay I have got to put on the make-up because I scared myself looking in the mirror

Kathy...you have to share pics of the baby's homecoming with us.

NellaBean you are eating one of my main meals these days...also I find myself eating a lot of grits and oatmeal.

Lori... believe it or not, our appointment with social services is at their office not here...I told her I saw no reason for her to come here and upset my animals since she was investigating possible suicide not abuse or neglect...she said "well ummm I don't know ummmm I usually ummmm okay what time would you like to be here?" LOL She said she just wishes to make sure Cheyenne is okay and a happy girl. Yeah whatever...we shall see.


Update on my sister...she saw the neurosurgeon yesterday with my mother and father in tow...My mother absolutely adored the doctor, saying he is like a good ole country doctor who knows his stuff. His mannerisms are that of the ole country doctor but his knowledge is that of a medical journal. He did tests using his own "instruments" which included a length of fabric with red squares sewn on it that his mother in law made for him...he said it worked better than those fancy eye machines. hahahaha

He said he 99.999% sure it is not cancer and it is not on her brain, yet. It is an unknown infection that has attached itself to the carotid artery, optic nerves and is pushing on the pituitary gland. He said he is NOT going into her brain and there will be no biopsy until it is proven to be absolutely necessary. So, she is, as I type, undergoing a spinal tap, more lab work and then she sees these two specialist that deal with exotic and rare infections for more labwork...they are trying to pin down what type of infection, where she got it, how she got it and then determine a medication to treat it....he thinks they can get rid of it with medication. He also said it was "new" meaning it is not something that has been there for a great length of time growing, so to speak. So...keep the prayers coming and I will keep you updated. I will not talk to her for a couple of days because she will have a horrible migraine amplified headache following this spinal tap but I will talk to mom and let you all know if anything changes.

Kathy, find out when they set up, as the traders area will start setting up at the same time, and then literally HAUNT it from the moment the doors open. It should be the day before the show. At Ohio, birds for sale started coming in at 9:00 a.m. the day before the show, and kept coming all the way till 9:00 a.m. the next morning, when the show started. And don't dither. I dithered and did not get some lovely black Americaunas, which I regret.

PLUS you can leave notes for breeders with show birds to see if they are willing to sell those birds.
AND if you know certain breeders are going to be there, you can try to pre buy- Doug Akers didn't bring any sale birds to the show because his van was filled with birds he had pre sold and were to be picked up at the show. Scott's Columbian Rocks that I picked up for him were a pre sale, arranged by Bob B.

I wonder if Paul Harter will be there?
