Uh oh! No! Sorry to hear- it's weird how so many of your old hens have issues with laying. Hope it's not too serious.

Drive safe, Nella.

I have a hen who I noticed on the nestbox a few times and no egg appeared.....she is my 1.5 year old hatchery RIR girl Stew #2. I also noticed she is growing feathers back in her saddle area finally, so she must be molting. She had laid steadily premolt, so maybe she is just confused. She is my favorite chicken of all. She is getting one of the SUPERHEN saddles next week when they get here.

Caroline has long been over her molt so that's not it. She's another Ideal Poultry girl, as is my Lt. Brahma, Miranda, same age. They went into the brooder just after I hatched Suede and Velvet and those Brahmas were his first hens besides Velvet. At least she's made it to over four years old now--some of mine were lost just after they turned two years old, with others just after three years old.

I hate to lose Caroline. Every time we have visitors, everyone always comments on how pretty she is and ask what breed.

Forecast is 1 - 5 inches of snow. I know we have an inch now. I just went to the post office and ran errands. On the way home .... OMG, I thought I was gonna die. I am still trembling. I started sliding and I hit a sign .... went clean over it. Didn't go into the deep ditch, thankfully. Can't see any damage to the van, other than a little scratch. It was scary.

Oh no Cyn I sure hope Caroline does not have those issues. If so I hope she goes quick and no prolonged suffering.

Nella I will be waiting for your call ... call me before you leave home and I can let you know about my road ... If I cannot get out I will get Sarah it my neighbor to meet you, they both have 4 wheel drives and again thank you for doing this.

Kathy thank goodness you are unhurt please be careful out there ... you must be in one piece to cine here and visit.

Kathy, I am glad you are ok!

Cyn, I hope your hen will be fine and is just taking a break.

Nella, please drive safely.

Kathy, awesome pictures!!

Serrin, thanks. I noticed you are near Spokane. My DH's 97 year old grandmother lives there. His mother is from Spokane. I have been there a few times. It is beautiful there.

Everyone else.. Hi
