OK Cetawin! You're starting to make me, and a good many of us, worry about you! Where are you woman!?!?! Gawds! I'm having visions of this little tiny woman behind the wheel of a truck, sitting in a gas station, dead battery cell phone in her hand, icicles hanging from her nose, and she's BLUE! *shudder* Report Cetawin! REPORT!!! NOW please!

Oooh! Where could she be!?! You'd better be sound asleep in your bed girl! Or out tending your flock, or the Diva, or somewhere at home!!

Home...me and the truck are fine. I got home about 7am, spent a lovely evening with a complete stranger at the gas station, watched a tow truck bring a car into the parking lot which had hit the guard rail of the bridge than spun me...her car bounced off one guard rail and spun her over the other one and into the creek, meanwhile a young woman who had spun on the bridge just before me had made her way back to the store/gas station and was calling her wonderful husband.

Wonderful husband shows up about 15 mins later in a huge 4 x 4 with a buddy and proceeds to yell at her..."Get out and I will drive it home...move over and let me show you how it is done, stupid woman cannot even get yourself home blah blah" So they drive off with Mr. Wonderful driving about 1 am. About 2 am the tow truck driver tells me he is going back to get a honda that slid off the road. I asked if it was a dark honda and he said yeah dark blue or black. I busted out laughing because Mr. Wonderful who would show the stupid woman how to drive and get home...slid off the road on the bridge and ended up with half of the car hanging over a drop off to the creek.

The car was still there at 7 am when I drove past so I guess he did not want to pay the tow truck and walked home or rode with the buddy in the 4 x 4 who was following them.

Sooooo DH and I are going to brave it to get out and get horse, chicken and dog food to get us through the weekend because we have another storm right behind this one that move in Thursday night/Friday morning. *sigh*

Meanwhile, Sarah is still at work with no way home so she posted about 10 mins ago so I am going to call her and see if we need to go get her.

Be back later.

Sorry I had to get off the phone so fast, LH! Found the package in California, though, whew! As usual, the P.O. strikes again... they couldn't track it by the insurance receipt because it had not been scanned after Greensboro, NC! We mailed it from Culberson, NC. And the customer's pen must have skipped because an "8" read like a "3" on the street address and it was marked as "undeliverable".

Anyway, we got the message to everyone involved and the customer should have his package very soon.

Ice kicks the butt of the most competent driver, male or female. Guess that blowhard found that out the hard way, LOL!

Well, LH, sounds like I don't even want to attempt getting birds to you on Friday. Let's just wait until the next trip or even May if we have to. I'm going to stay on the freeway the entire way and hope for the best LOL.

Back...we got Sarah picked up, bought her lunch and have taken her home. Nella, the ramps and the roadway to the store and just beyond are fine...it is that steep decline, bridge and severe climb in the S turn beyond the store that is bad. But, the call is yours. I can wait for the birds no worries or I can get them from you...either way just be careful out there.

I have to run back out tomorrow for food because I just did not have enough time with DH having to be in Paris at 5. Oh well.

Kathy...I love Sarah too pieces and I will not see her stranded or walking miles in the weather if I can help it. DH and I collapsed about 7:30am and I slept till around 11am so I got a little sleep but I did not sleep at all the night before last so I was running on pure adrenaline last night and was shaking life a leaf on a tree i a hurrican when I got home...I was a nervous wreck. Having spun almost 360 climbing the hill and managing the S turn to have the plow driver stop me...I thought I was going to be told to turn around and go back to the store but he wanted to know if the accident was cleared at the bottom of the hill.
