Where is everyone?
I finally got ahold of the vet tech and he will be here on Thurs. He will ck all my hens for crd etc. Lots of test. Then it will be awhile while they process the blood. I hope to have answers in about a wk or two. My hens look good one day and two days later may be terribly sick. Then again look good. It is really weired. Gloria Jean

Gloria Jean, that's strange. Hope you find out what's wrong... I wish I could get people to do that to mine. Good luck.

Cyn... have you been working on the coop? Have the design planned out yet? I am excited for Ellie's eggs... any pips?

I took some random pics around here today... will post later...

HAHAHAHA. Jess just pooped on my neighbor's hand.

Hello humans owned by Delaware and other chickens! I an here just not chatty yet. Pain in ny mouth goes to my fingers I think. I am feeling better still have pain and swelling but if u make it through this first week all should be good, or do I an told. I an if to buy straw...chy is cleaning the coop and I am walking and grooming the Diva. See you all a bit later.

Am still trying to find windows for the coop. Don't want to pay Home Depot prices, which would cut into what we really have to buy there, like 2x4's. Will be stringing the lines to square up the footprint of the coop and start digging down a little to set 2" tall concrete blocks for the foundation. Have to buy those still, but we have the 4x4's for the skids that sit on top of those already.

No pips yet.

Oh, today I will set two each of Smoky, Dusty and Meg's eggs, plus one of Ellie's. After the butt fluff trim and what appears to be a fertile egg from Smoky, going to seize the opportunity and try again.

Can't say as I blame you one bit there Cyn. Have you checked with any of your local glass shops, or perhaps even local glass installation contractors? Around here, they are our first stop of choice when we're looking for used windows for projects like coops and greenhouses. Sometimes you can even get the windows you need for free as you would be doing the contractor a favor. In order for him to get rid of the old stuff that he had removed from a project, he'd have to pay disposal fees. So, check with them. You might find just what you need.

And speaking of the Home Depot, that's where we're off too now, for slate tiles for the kitchen! They're having an awesome sale on exactly what we'd like to use!!

We are also coop planning here! Got two new feeders and waterers. Yep, that's all.
