Cyn, I am so sorry about the chicks. That is horrible. Hopefully it will get better. And about Suede... Yay yay yay yay yay!!!!!!!!

I finally got more shavings for the brooder. Yay!!!! That and 2 paper towels make the PERFECT brooder bedding! Yay!!! I also put the water on a dog bowl so they would stop knocking shavings in it... They've discovered how to kick around the shavings. Ughhhhhhhh. And one keeps trying to fly out, so I covered it with hardware cloth. They're becoming a little crowded, so this weekend I'll tear a side down and add a second box.

Exactly...had to wait for him to be legal too....

When the Previews for the movie "Secretariat" came out and I commented about him being my favorite racehorse ever and how I got to actually touch him at the Belmont...I turned to him after he did not acknowledge my comments or talk and I said "Do you disagree and not think he was the greatest racehorse to ever live?" He said, "when did he win the Triple Crown" I said 1973 he said "And when was I born? I said Oh Shut Up

I drove to town today, I don't usually drive in the winter, but DH was doing firewood and the roads were clear. Anyway I went to get some calf manna. I can't wait to give some to the gang, but sadly the bag is still in the van and the van is at work with DH. The folks at the Family Farm and Home store are so nice, they loaded the cart for me and then loaded the stuf in the van for me. They also wanted to know where Kodi was. We usually take Kodi in for treats and they love seeing him come in. They always give him extra treats because he talks to them.

I haven't seen Nella either... wonder where she is hiding?

Well I added up out monthly chicken expenses... $36.00 a month. Not bad! And once the chicks get to layer feed it should be down to $31.00... But that will be a while!

Oh, I can't take him with me unless DH goes because he pulls on the leash sometimes and I have a hard time holding onto him. He is good for DH.
