I'm around just not chatty. Can't go on BYC from work anymore, so don't have much time to zip around on here.

I candled 3 of the 10 eggs under my broody. She has 5 dark wheaten marans eggs, 4 blue blue wheaten ameraucana eggs and 1 speckled barred cochin egg. I candled 1 of each color. All 3 appeared to be developing...they are around day 6, i think. I'll leave them for another week, candle all of them next weekend to make sure, and then leave them alone.

No building going on here.......

On a sidenote, I'll be down in Georgia next tuesday......my company acquired another company a couple weeks ago, so me and my boss are going down to Sandersville, GA to visit the plant.

I'll wave when I drive by......

Yup, I'll wave back, Janelle, LOL.

Suede's foot seemed okay at roost time, LH. I think he just jumped off his ramp and landed wrong.

The Dellie chick is hobbling around and using the leg, even though the hock bends forward rather than back, but it is maneuvering it so maybe as it strengthens, it will just have a limp.

No pips in any of the three eggs and tomorrow is Day 21, but I'm bushed. Going to bed in a few minutes.

On a sidenote, I know they were mentioned here once or twice....those 10 hour hand warmer packets are on clearance at my wally world. 75 cents for a 4pack. I'm going to stock up on some for next winter. I think they are usually $2 for 4.

June's egg has pipped, just a minute ago. The other two will probably join it soon, I'd think, since today is Day 21. I asked this question in Breeds, LH, so maybe we'll know if the chick is male or female just from the color at hatch. Crossing fingers for another Hedwig!

June and Isaac's kids, Hedwig and Ezra (formerly known as Chipper)- I swiped a pic of young Hedwig from an earlier post of LH's so you can see the huge difference in these full siblings:

As a baby, Ezra looked like this, whereas Hedwig looked like a pure Dellie with a beard:

I'm wondering if they will all pan out this way. Makes sense, though, since males usually take after their moms and females after the sire.
