. And to be honest about my meds. I got 20 of the things and I still have 18.5 of them. I hate meds and how they make me feel more than I hate pain. Ack

Amy, thank you. It is being made into a shield and fringed with deerhide in the natural color and in sky blue. His sickle feathers will be placed on the East and West positions and one of Thor's will be in the south. I also bought glass crow beads to accent her livingroom, in a wine and hunter green colors. Because it is so heavy (well over 17,000 beads) I used a brass hoop which is wrapped in the blue dyed deerhide. I still have to edge bead the entire thing before I stretch it in the hoop too.

I wanted to try to bead a chicken and I wanted to give her something to say thanks so I was chasing between Hawkeye and Suede, both of whom she loves tons... I chose Suede even though blue is hard to match for animals because I did not want to try my first chicken being barred...Hawkeye was gorgeous and it will take me practice and twice as long to pull that one off I think to bead a barred rock. Suede has 8 shades of blue in him aside from the light accent blues in his sickles, I believe there are 14 shades total used on him and I could have done better had I added a few.more I think. I wish I had taken more pics of Ivy before she passed had I been thinking rather than stuffing her with grapes, I would have gotten pics of her to bead a BR. She was so pretty.

It is fun aamd enjoyable.for me...as long as I am not on a strict timeline...I did that for years and it makes me nuts. I have yet to poke hole in the leather to mount him...and it took me almost 2 months to cut the beadwork of.the hide. LOL. I hate cutting because I cannot change it if I cut wrong. Hahaha. So ya never know...chief could be next. Hehehe
