Nope!! Talking about a mix of snow and rain next week and then back down to 30 degrees.
Hang in there sweetie! We'll get our share of spring in the northern climates eventually. We had just a dusting of snow night before last. And here I was thinking it was just about behind us. I forgot....it usually snows on Easter Morning around these parts. Until we get through Easter, I'm not planting a darn thing! Old Jack Frost would just zap it anyhow! Hang in there Laura! Spring is coming! I promise!
Guess what I found at the Fairchild Commissary today?? Organic ACV!!!! Complete with "mother" in it!!
And only about $2.39 for a 16 fl. oz. bottle!! That's a good price, isn't it?
Guess who's birds are gonna start looking and feeling a heck of a lot better!!?? And what the heck. I might just take a swig of this miracle stuff myself!
Cyn, Junebug looks so close to identical to little Lisette, God rest her sweet little soul, that they could have been twins! Just adorable. But gosh darn it! You mentioned Zane getting to supervise coop construction. I was really hoping for some pictures of that wonderful boy!
You did get some, didn't you? Please post them! Purty Please! With sugar on top?
No new pics of Zane, Amy, but there are new coop pics on the thread in Coop Construction.
I have to get a video of Beau, my D'Uccle cockerel, crowing. He has a super nice little crow and he must have been listening to Zane because he sounds like the Zanester, just in a tiny toy voice.
Amy, I was wishin' for Zane pics, too! What do you need the ACV for? Poopy butt? Ya know, I get mine from Trader Joe's, and it's organic... I think... I had to use it with the Del chicks for a while.
We've spent the day gardening, pebbling the chicken run (it looks and smells GREAT!), letting the girls out separately and moderately so we can look out for hawks and be at their side, and swimming. I love this weather, and it's only getting warmer! I feel for y'all who still have winter... But remember that it is technically over!
The dogs enjoyed themselves too, and I let little Jess out while Meg, the hunter demon dog was out! I have to say, though, she did really well with them. Too busy chasing squirrels!
Then we got back from Mexican food and I'm just writin' about my day... Was pretty nice... But now the week's here, darnit. Can't wait till Friday!
I had to pull little 1 lb. Shadow off Nugget again tonight. Nugget was bowed down to her and Shadow was just pounding her on the head, the little snot. Nugget is as big as 5-6 Shadows and is just so mild mannered and sweet, she is always at the bottom of the pecking order.
Well it looks like everyone is growing nicely. I got my lav, blk, buff, and white orps from Jody. hinkjc. Her birds are just as nice as in her picutures. I hadn't intended to get white but when i saw them I did a double take. They are very nice.
Got an e-mail from Claudia in AL that the Dels are hatching. So either the x-ray doesn't hurt them or Nick is real good at what he does. I have to confess that I did pray and that's most likely it. I was worried that after Claudia was so nice the eggs might not have hatched.
Now I do hope the ones she sent me hatch. Have I mentioned I'm going back to AL next month. I miss my grandkids for sure. I tried to post a vid of Kaedin on his new swing but can't figure out how.

The ones Claudia has? I think she may have gotten stock from Janet Holtman, but not sure if its the same as Isaac and my girls came from or not--my Kira was out of a different group of Janet's a couple years before I hatched Ike's bunch.
LH, Junebug is super friendly! She loves attention. We took Molly and Adonis out to visit Junebug and Sarah and Junebug was acting like their mama and they were loving it! She may be a very good mama some day, but she is the sweetest thing and I know you and Cheyenne will love her. And Adonis is feathering out like a boy--primaries very long, much longer than the rest of the wing feathers. Seems the pullets get a nice even row, then another even row on top of that, so you may have your son of Suede.
