Are your SL and BL varieties both broody types? I have the SLWs you sent in the hand turned bator and all four are developing just fine. My back got so painful, I had to quit, but will candle the others tomorrow or the next day to see how the BLRWs are coming along. I candled the Marans egg and as far as I can tell, it's developing, but that one is tough, even for my 300 watt slide projector!

Oh, that is good news! You are the first to hatch these. All the Wyandottes are less than a year old. I have never hatched from them. The SLW come from Rick Hare (APA Judge and champion exhibitor) and Foleys. The BLRW come from Foleys. I was really surprised this young pullet went broody! The Marans egg will be an Olive Egger (pullet for sure! LOL)

for an Olive Egger pullet! Will let you know about the rest when I candle them in a day or two. Never had to candle 86 eggs before!

I'm off to bed, my SDWD friends. My back was tightening just like someone was turning a crank and had to take some meds. G'nite!
