Yep, that's the one. That del and the icelandic to the left front are always ready to jump onto my hand. The icelandic also flew up to my shoulder during therapy today.

I am always so excited watching them grow ..... especially the Icelandics! Ya never know what color they will end up being. I can hardly wait to see! They sure look great. Thanks for the pictures!
Thanks Laura. You got Icelandics? I don't remember you saying that! Wow, congrats! I hope that you enjoy them- SO BEAUTIFUL! I am a frequent snooper of that thread.

I LOVE that thread! Mary is the greatest hostess, isn't she? She keeps it lively and interesting.
I am enjoying the thread too. I just hope I can do the breed justice. Seems like they are cold hardy since they come from iceland. That is a good thing.....

Iceland isn't cold. Greenland is cold, and Iceland is green. Their names are confusing!
My Icelandics did just fine all winter. Not a problem.
Kathy! You're driving me nucking futs, right up the pump house wall! So many really cool breeds that you have, and right now, I haven't the room for one single bird more!
Gawds! I want to get this freaking house DONE!! Cuz until it is, we can't even begin to start thinking of a bigger coop and better facilities. So keep my hopes up Kathy, and tell me that in another year, you're going to be clearing house again!!
I want a few of those Icelandics myself! And a few of those NH's, and maybe some of those BR's. Oh!! And definitely some of your Del's! Great Garden o' Peas as Tim would say, I bet with that many different breeds, you could even sneak in a Silky or two and I wouldn't even notice!!
I'll just tell Denny they must have been packing peanuts!!
Cetawin, thank you very much dear. But you're not sending me a darn thing until you give me your mailing address first so that I can send you a check!
You'll need to be able to replace that fabric with something really spiffy for your girls too, and money don't grow on trees! So, email, or PM your mailing address so I can send you a check, and at the same time I'll send a SASE, so you needn't worry about the shipping. Any idea of how much fabric is there? I'll just stuff one of those big manila envelopes in with the check and that should take care of it! You, Kathy and Laura have been so good to me. Far more so than I deserve. You're spoiling me rotten, and I'm terribly accustomed to paying my own way! So don't you dare tell me it's nothing and wave it off! I INSIST on paying for it! Are you listening LH? I can just see her now, fingers in the ears, singing lalalalalalalal. Yeah, well I'm not kidding woman! I mean it! Send me your addy and I'll send you mine!!
Well, today was day two for GeeGee and Gooby in the coop. My, what a humble and well behaved little man he is now! I tried to tell him to be nice to the little girls, but do you think the little toe rag would listen to his grandma? Oh no! He knew everything! Guess who now comes running to me in the hopes I'll pick him up and protect his sorry butt from all of his great big aunties with the huge and vicious beaks!!??
Karma little dude! Karma! It's what he gets for having been so mean to Charlotte!
And speaking of Charlotte, oh my! What a sweet and affectionate little girl she is! But then, Charlotte has always been sweet and demure since the day she hatched and fluffed!
There's no mistaking that that little one is a GIRL! She's girly through and through! Complete opposite of her big brother, for all I think they may have the same mother.
I'll never know for sure, as I have two BR hens in that coop. But we sure know who the daddy is! And I'll say it right now, Gooby must take after his mother, cuz he sure didn't get that bad attitude from his father!
GeeGee seems to be completely thrilled to be back among her sisters now. The first day back was a little bit rough. So much has happened since I transferred her to the brooder hutch in the pump house. Alliances and loyalties shift constantly in my flock, and some of those who were once her staunchest allies are now her enemies. I suppose it is to be expected.
But GeeGee has always been made of fairly stern stuff, and I know in time she'll reassert her dominance and regain her mid level standing in the flock. Right now, Cosette is elated to have someone she can peck on and prove that she is no longer at the bottom of the ladder.
Oh, I feel sorry for that little girl the day GeeGee realizes that she doesn't have to put up with that from anyone!
It ain't gonna be pretty.
Anyway, that's about where things stand at the Blue Feather Farm! It's getting late and I think I'm going to go pass out! No nap today!
Makes for one very tired Amy! Yack with y'all tomorrow! Pleasant dreams y'all!
