Kathy, that is a really cute contest.

Amy, I believe that we all want more than we can't have! Funny stories.

Ugh... Both bators were staying in between 31%-35% humidity, but I was stupid and added a tablespoon of water to one and it went all the way up to 37%. GAH! It is just so humid here! I think that with all the natural humidity, I could just use the dry incubation method thingy, until it's not SO humid. What do y'all think? The bator that's holding at 31% has no water in it at all. Think I can just rely on outdoor humidity? Geesh... This is the first time I've used these... It ain't easy with how sticky and wet it is down here!

Think I should incubate dry?

ETA: I took the water out of the one that wet to 37%, and it dropped to 35%. I think that they're staying just where I want them with no water.

Leave it alone at that humidity, Nick. It should be fine. It will go down on its own over time, trust me.

Hey, pics of Adonis, Molly and Junebug! Junebug, the hood ornament, that is. The beard is from mama, June, but the rest of her is all daddy's girl. Adonis is 4 weeks old and Molly is just over 5 weeks.

Yeh! Junebug. She sure is a pretty one. Do you think she might lay colored eggs? I love her ruff. gloria Jean

I think it's more likely she'll lay brown eggs, but sure, she could lay green. The single comb makes me doubt it, though I've known of some single combed birds who do lay green.

Kathy, here are the Rocks! One has an almost non-existent head spot but no dark on the leg fronts. One has dark leg fronts but a larger than pullet size head spot. I'm guessing I have 3 pullets and 5 cockerels in this bunch. I know I had only 5 from William, so I must have 3 from you, Kathy. The little one with bent toes doesn't seem to have those anymore, so that's a relief. I hate putting down babies.
