Here is my Big Boy....Lancelot unfortunately I cannot use him for my Blue Orp breeder because of red bleed through in his hackles but he will be my laying flock roo for sure.... He turns a year old in a couple months....Late July or early August

My goofy Delaware Fattie....giving me stink eye because I told her to get off the swing. She will bite the snot out of you seeking attention and if you ignore her, she will draw blood. Cannonball just launches herself on you to get attention and those are the reasons I only have 2 Delaware. LOL

when she could not intimidate me with stink eye...she turned the other cheek, so to speak

The Diva doing what she does best....eat

Yes, she had bedding added to her stall after we fed her....the Diva does not wait for such things as stall cleaning and bedding replacement when it is dinnertime...oh no the food comes first!

And this morning I was about 40 minutes late picking Sarah up from work because of a herd of cows in the road....LOL I was out herded cows at 7:15 am UNTIL the bull appeared and charged me...then I called 911 and proceeded to drive slowly through the herd. 94lb lady is not messing with 900lb charging bull...not without at least 2 cups of coffee first.

Night night all.

Yep, when the bulls appear I get back in my car as well! LOL. My neighbors cows are always getting out.....including a young bull. My neighbor chases them down in his big dually and "herds" them back to their field that way. Owner won't fix the fence. Stupid people.

LH! I thought of you today........my local feed store got in a shipment of a BUNCH of mille fleur d'uccle and porcelain d'uccle chicks. I love how they always know what the chicks are. Golden Sebrite, Silver Sebrite, white wyandottes, etc.

I was at a chicken auction yesterday and there was a young EE or Americana(I get confused which one it is) Anyway it had the coloring of a Delaware but the body of a EE. She was a pretty bird. This is not the first time I have seen this a while back I saw the same thing in a pullet.

LH! Did Cheyenne just call you a "Dork"!?!

Boy! JoJo sure has shed out nicely, hasn't she. Loved the video of her out in her pasture and all of that beautiful Kentucky Blue Grass!

We're still a few weeks away from anything even remotely green and pretty like that.

Kathy, I'll see what I can do about taking some pictures today. The forecast is looking beautiful. Of course. Today is the annual Blooms Day race in Spokane. They always have great weather for that, or so it seems. So, time allowing, I should be able to get a few nice ones of Charlotte and Gooby out and about.

Cuz you're right, I really have been remiss in taking pictures of those two as they're growing up.

I'll probably be stuck inside all day today though. Working on floor tiles. The new kitchen range will be arriving on Thursday and I still have two full rows of tile to lay, plus grout and seal the whole thing before the stove arrives!

In other words, I'm running out of time!!!

Like this one? It would have been an Easter Egger. No Ameraucanas have that coloring. Junebug here is half Delaware, half EE and the worst spoiled lap chicken on the planet. Del crosses are so super sweet!

That's what I was thinking. I love Junebug, she is s beautiful!

Cyn... I always need a while to calm myself down when you tell people that you'll kill 'em.

Amy, I would love to see photos!

LH, your life is just so busy isn't it! I love Lancelot, I have seen a video of him before. He is big and beautiful, sorry he can't be your breeder. I am so glad that you're okay from that bull, though!

NEWSFLASH IN MISSOURI

Oh my gosh ...... Look at this!
http://www.cnn.com/2011/HEALTH/03/31/missouri.poultry.disease/index.html

That is southwest Missouri! That is where I live! I wonder where this is at. They give no specifics, except to say it is Polk county, which is not really all that far away from my location. I am in Vernon county. That is scary to me.......
