Cyn, they're all looking so cute! Is it my imagination, or is that new little blue already giving you the stink eye?
Watch that one Cetawin! She's gonna give you tons of trouble!
Algae, my little Delawegger, Cosette, and her mother are both two of the sweetest birds in the coop! Mother Maggie, a beautiful little EE hen from Kathy, is also the smartest! How else to explain her profound knack for escaping their yard!?! And her daughter is no slouch when it comes to intelligence either! I can lock everyone up for the afternoon while Denny and I go to town, and not five minutes after doing so, those two are both right back outside of the confines of their yard!
They both paid too close of attention to Kathy's girl, Floozy!
Sadly, I lost Cosette's sister, Lisette, just days before she would have started laying. She too had the pea comb, so I'm pretty sure she would have laid a lovely olive egg as well. She was, by far, the sweetest of the three. I miss her terribly to this day.
She was the first of the three to befriend me after their arrival here back in late October. Every morning, she would come running to greet me. I don't think she was all that terribly interested in treats as much as she enjoyed being picked up and cuddled. She was just a very sweet and friendly soul from the very beginning!
So, if you ever get the chance, get your hands on some Delaweggers! You'll fall in love from the very get-go!!
Tim? Is there anything you
won't gripe about? Jiminy Cricket boy! Try to look for the bright side in life, would ya?!?!
** Said with the utmost love and kindred spirited intentions!
** You and me Tim. We're both a couple of old curmudgeons, ain't we?!?!
