Like I said this afternoon, I'm afraid if I offer too much incentive, they'll get the goodies and toss poor Ranger out of the window on their way home! Poor boy deserves a home. At least, his daddy is not chasing him at all. The harassment is coming only from the hens. I hate that Shelby and Maretta abandoned him in favor of going back to Rex.

Cyn, I really do hope you can find a good home for Ranger. If you were closer, and I weren't already so roo heavy around here, you know I'd take him in a heart beat. Admittedly, I have this huge soft spot for the boys. Especially if they have even just a smidgen of sweetness in them. I know...I'm hopeless!

All of these boys are gonna be the death of me yet. Any time any one of them makes a disturbing sound, I'm out there looking everywhere for what might be amiss. I swear they have figured this out and use it as a ploy to get my attention and thereby get hugs and cuddles from me!

Needless to say, my work is lagging way behind schedule. Those boys are far too smart for their own good!

And I'm far too in love with them for mine!

And speaking of work. The good lord willing, I'll have time to take and post a couple of pictures tomorrow of the house. We've got the whole west porch framed up and the roof is sheeted, ready for Mikey and his gang to come back and install the asphalt shingles on it, along with the east porch as well. We'd do it ourselves, but they can do it much faster and at a very reasonable price. That frees up Denny and me to work on other things.....

Like a new small coop for Emilio and his two little girls!!

If I thought for two seconds that Maggie and Cosette would take to shacking up with him, I'd move them into the new coop as well. But, as we all know, those two ladies go wherever they please!

So sorry to hear that the famous Barbara and her flock mates are no longer with us.

Gawds! I do despise dog owners that don't control their beasts. They are so utterly clueless as to just how devastating it is to lose a beloved bird to their horrible mutts!

I'm with you LH. Lets string the ba$tards up by their guts and let our birds have a go at 'em!

At least not any cloud to ground strikes. We're tinder dry out here and even the smallest of spark has been igniting fires left, right and center right now. We've had three fires less than a mile from our place just in the last week alone!

Thank heavens for a volunteer fire department that absolutely LIVES for putting out brush fires!

I baked a huge plate of cookies during the first fire and took it too them after they had it put out. I've never seen 3 dozen chocolate chip cookies and a gallon of ice cold milk disappear so fast in all my life!

Well, Annie is home for an overnight visit tonight. I have to get up early in the AM to get her to her job on time. So, good night y'all. Hope you have a pleasant day, free of drama and trauma.
