Sheesh- I LOVE that sign! Laura, you are brilliant -

Nice roosters? I wish. I think I do not have the knack for roosters that y'all have, Amy and Cetawin especially. Ivan the Terrible, Impy and Ultrasuede are fine. Not snuggly, but fine. They will walk with me and talk to me, but don't like being picked up. My juvies from Kathy in all categories are OK so far, and the F1 roos are actually friendly, jumping up on my shoulder. BUT..... My Harter Dels and my own Del roos are evil incarnate. I have scars on top of my scars. It is nothing but fights, attacks and discipline. I have been trying to work with them because I need a Del roo or two or I will have to resign from the club.

A few of the Harters are coming around, and ONE of mine. One of the two that is left. Hehehe. They were busy killing each other, and trying to kill me, so I had every brooder, every ark, every possible space I had filled with roosters in solitary confinement until our first and awful processing experience. So now I am down to 9 coops/arks/chicken houses each day and that is why I have some online time again. Its a lot less depressing! And that is the good news. The bad news is my knees, but I am hiding from them.

Amy, I am sure there are pics of Emilio, and Laura, your chicks on here? Clue me in to where to scroll to if you remember - I have a LOT of catching up to do.

I am SO glad to see Athena - has Lancelot kept his looks?

Beth do jot worry too much, Lancelot does not like being picked up but is fine when you do. He is still handsome as ever just has a few battle scars. His chest and thigh healed great and feathers cake back all around them so he links perfect but my bet is that the fox has some scars too the way Lancelot was shaking him and grabbing him. Hahaha

The ducks are here post office called a little after 6 and they were home a bit after 7 5 blue Swedish

When I get back home I will get more.pics.

LH, you and Lancelot are very welcome. I have the same sign on my run and when I read about Lancelot and how he protected his girls I just knew that he had to have one of those. I wish I could have seen the look on your husband's face when he got the mail.
Those ducks are adorable! I almost got ducks last year.

Beth, I do have pics here somewhere. I will have to look them up and I will let you know where they are later. I also have had a couple of bad Delaware boys. My NH has got to be the sweetest boy I have.

Amy, that is just wonderful that Emilio is so sweet for you. It was just meant for you to have a trio.

Isaac had a bad tempered brother, though that particular one started out as the most friendly of the bunch. He was also the largest, slightly larger than Ike, reached a huge size quite early on. The one Scott has, Pepper, is super sweet, just like Ike is.

Cyn, thats right! I suddenly feel better. You ate Jacob, didn't you?

Amy, its nice to be back, thank you- and I will probably never catch up, but I do need to know what Emilio the Snuggler looks like. OOH- I just went and looked up that post - he has SUCH a nice look in his eye- but even better is that HOUSE!!!!! Oh my gosh, you have finished it!

Cetawin - those are the CUTEST ducks!

Laura, My NH roos are really shy, as are the hens- maybe I need to cultivate them and not worry about these Del boys- I guess I was hoping for another "Xander or Luke.

Kathy, so far so good - I really like them. All three roos are named Petronius and all 6 pullets Pippa because unless I am right up on top of them I cannot tell them apart, they are SO alike. One Petronius flies up to my shoulder every morning when I change out the water, and the other two stand next to me - maybe I should just raise F1's.....

I DO love the F1s, too! It will be hard to give them up and move on. I imagine I will keep a few for the layers coop anyway. But, anyway, with this mix we have, I hope the Delawares we create are of good temperament.
