Speaking of shipments from Kathy......hey, I kept 4 girly looking orps from the ones you sent me....and they are indeed girls. That HUGE splash was a girl

They are currently at the fair for sale. I was surprised the splash did not get snatched up....then realized there are about 10 other splash orp pullets for sale in other cages, lol. go figure!

you know, I gave the others to my rooster lady. i wonder if there were MORE girls? Dang it! None had much comb development but major "rooster feathering". But so did a black I kept and the splash and they are girls! I should have kept them longer to make sure. Oh well.....

The girls feather in first. The boys are kinda nekkid for awhile. That is how I sex them. Combs and waddles don't matter.

Me too, but these orps were ALL pretty nekkid for a while. 2 of the blacks feathered in fast like all the other birds. The others were all half nekkid. Remember me posting I only had 2 girls and the rest boys? Well, I kept the other 2 just because they were feathering in just slightly faster than the rest.....and yep, even though they were mostly nekkid, they were girls!

If she is still there tomorrow, I can bring her back home to hold for you if you want. Want anything else? Black orps? cochin mixes (blue with copper necks or solid blacks), olive egger? LOL
