Well, there go Kathy's "empty for the winter pens"!
Just kidding sweetie. I'm pea green with envy. And you have every right to indulge and reward yourself. You work your tail feathers off, both at work and at home, so, Kudos to you, I say! Kudos to you!! And I wouldn't worry too much about Mike noticing. I think he'll fall in love with them the moment he sees them!
Cyn, happy belated birthday dear lady! Sorry I missed it. Hope you had a great day.
LH, you can send me one of the smaller of the two coops as a Christmas present, and I promise I won't return it or exchange it for something else!
That would make the perfect layers coop for me!
Give that husband of yours a hug for me and tell him I said thank you for making you such a happy lady. You deserve it!
Brandon,
Sugar, I will definitely be saying prayers for you and your efforts to quit smoking.
I so hope you make it sweetie! That's an 800 pound gorilla that I hope to have off of my back some day as well. One step, one day at a time, I'll get there too. Let me know how the Chantix works for ya too.
Tim!! Have you lost your ever lovin mind, man?!?! Silkies?!?! Again?!?!? What? You didn't learn the last time?!?!
Well, Reynold's could certainly stand to sell more of it's product, I suppose! Is that why ya done it? To give the aluminum foil industry a boost in these hard economic times?!?!
Well, we now have about 3+ inches of snow on the ground [piffling amount if you ask me!] and overnight temperatures dipping all the way down into the low teens and single digits. Dottie is now in the pump house. She's nearly naked on her back due in part to a severe molt. The other part of the equation is her unenviable position as Goobey's main squeeze!
So, she's gonna stay inside for a few weeks, or however long it takes for her to heal up completely and for the temperatures to return to something a little more on the normal side [around 25F for overnight lows]
And since the temperatures have dipped so dang low, there isn't a snowball's chance in H-E-double-toothpicks of me being able to set fence posts in the ground right now. The move to the new duplex coop is going to have to wait until the ground thaws. There's a rumor floating around that that just might happen during the Thanksgiving weekend.
I really gotta get that little toe rag outta there! He's starting to tick off everyone in the coop!
One thing is for sure: Dottie will NOT be returning to the main coop until he is out of there! I will not subject that poor sweet little hen to his depredations again!
