Junebug really adores her.

Here is a picture of Kes, who is over 14 and skinny as a homeless old hound dog in spite of eating fine. She is pointer/lab cross. I sent a video of her running to LH-she can really pour on the juice when she wants to, even at her advanced age.

That sweet ole' girl...I will bring her something when I come next month. I have containers of pancake mix for each pen, goodies for Suede and will get something for my TV buddy, Kess.

Her and Miranda are tough old gals.

She's been a very good dog all these years. We'll miss her sweet face, but we sure won't miss her old lady incontinence. I know she doesn't want to smell bad or dribble in her bedding, but dang it, I realize she's about 100 years old in human years, especially considering that she was in the 70 lb range in her prime. Going on 15 years old is quite a respectable age for a dog of that size, considering that she can still actually bounce down the driveway like that.

Almost strangled me a Delaware hen today. Was putting a saddle on one of the big BR hens-apparently, Isaac has overlooked her barred plumage and decided she's quite a sweet thang-when I was bitten behind the knee by an attention seeking hussy named Georgie. I was wearing shorts at the time and she drew blood. I yelled and turned around and went after her, yelling "You wanted attention, didn't you, you wench?! C'mon back here and let me give you some!" She knew she was in big trouble, being a smart Delaware and ran like the wind, LOL. She did, however, run to her daddy, who held out his arms and crooned, "Come here, Georgie.", where she proceeded to give the traditional Delaware hug to someone who wasn't seeing red after being injured by that bad girl.

Around 5 foot tall and 100-120 pounds, I think.

You think??:?? I would think you'd know, so you can prepare a coop and scoop. They are cute but ugly too.

On another note I believe I've tamed that BR rooster. I was carrying a stick with me to the coop but I noticed we are both keeping an eye on each other as i go about my business.

I do wish he'd get those girls to all lay in the next box though.

I hope you have him tamed, since he is the only boy you kept. Boys can be so dang stupid (in all species).

WISTERIA, run before it gets your house and winds into the windows and gets you at night.

I just would never plant it here. Keep a close eye on it for sprouts etc. Keep it cut to tree shape and enjoy. Everything has bloomed out here. I can not beleive this weather. We always have frost until May 15th each year. I keep a watchful eye on the low night temps. Can it be possible for the climate to have changed so much in a yr? Look out esp. around the full moons of April and May. I will be putting out two week old hatchery chicks to a coop with a light tomorrow night. It seems impossible the nights are high 40's and 50's. It could frost again.YIKES

We do have to trim that thing alot, that's for sure. Mike will trim it back when he gets home on the 1st, again. I just LOVE the aroma coming into the kitchen window. I can't believe how much it has grown in the last couple years.
