That is pretty much supposed to be the D'Anver personality of the roosters and unless they get you in the face or on a bare leg, you don't really even feel it, but it's highly irritating. I'm not used to having any rooster like that, even a pint-sized one. Tiny will do sometimes flog, but she wants attention, so all you do is scoop her up under your arm and if she starts biting me when I do, I turn her backwards so her head is to my back and downward and that fixes that, LOL. She'll yell and pedal her feet, but she can't bite or flog when she's in that position.

Aubrey doesn't want attention, he wants to intimidate. He's nowhere as bad as Rusty was, thank goodness, but he doesn't have the personality of Rufus or any sweet whatsoever like Angus. He's only a handsome little pitbull with feathers. I may just sell him off with Mina as a pair and maybe if I get another son out of Shadow, which would be a lavender, too, keep him. The Cochin temperament would tone down the D'Anver side of him, most likely, and since I'm not breeding bantams, per se, that would work out fine.

The hens are the complete opposite of the roosters. Oh my goodness, they are the most precious, adorable, sweet things you could imagine. They are worse than Gypsy about being held, if you can imagine that.

That is the coolest thing ever, Kathy!

Removed Ellie's egg from under Nugget on Day 14. It was a quitter, a murky mess. She has only one now, Caroline's. Cross fingers for this one because if it doesn't hatch, Tom won't let her go without a chick to raise, which means a hatchery chick from the feedstore, ick.

And he wanted Dusty to have eggs, Dusty, the "Mommie Dearest" of broody hens. So, Dusty has 5 D'Anvers, one of Meg's and one of Hope's. I expect only the D'Anvers will hatch, but you just never know. One of Hope's in LH's bator made it until the last three days.

Those settings are on your camera, or your picture editor? They are way cool!

On the camera!
Well, you can take the picture in that mode, or you can view it after you take it (in regular mode) and add another picture (with the effects).
