Cyn, I am so sorry about your girls. Gosh I hate it. Sunny was such a love and Riley was absolutely gorgeous.

Well never a dull moment around here. Coon out in broad daylight and sitting beside the playpen that had my orp and delaweggers babies in it. Husband and I were backing out of the driveway when I saw it and yelled, jumping from the moving jeep and going after it with the only thing I could grab...a length of 2 x 4. The nerve of it...it shall die now for sure. The Trap is set and I am up stalking it, locked and cocked. Die coon Die! It bites when I cannot leave my birds in the coop because of this heat and if they are out they are walking dinner for this fuzzy bugger. Oh I hate coons...hate hate hate them. grrrrrrrrrrr

Kill the coon, LadyHawk! Git it!

It's already 90 degrees here - heading to 102, the weatherman says. I am thankful for all the shade around here. Done hatching (except my projects and chocolates), so I let everyone out.

The fox has been back here. Thursday it came between the garage and the house and tried for my JG girl. Friday it came by the coop just a few yards from the garage. Both times Bryan was working in the garage...using power tools and the radio blasting. It got the little cockeral that I was planning for the freezer but the cockeral managed to get away. When Bryan saw it on Friday he chased it thru the woods. I am telling you that fox isn't afraid of anything!

Thanks for the comments on the quilts and brooder boxes

Kathy, I am glad you had a great visit with Walt.

LH, good luck with the coon!

If I could afford a trip out to visit you I would love to buy them from you.

E bay might be a good way to go. That is a lot of quilting books and magazines. Do you have anything that shows how to do a broken lone star pattern...in easy to understand directions?

You pick the hardest patterns! Tumbling blocks and lone star?!!!
