Sea Monkeys Anyone?

I just got some Sea Monkeys about 2 days ago and 2 has already hatched and I just wanted to share that with you!!!

Sea Monkey kits were all the rage when I was a kid. The name was pure marketing genius, and they were mostly sold via the ad pages of kids comics & such. Later on as an adult I raised brine shrimp for my puffer fish.

I once raised sea monkeys and they were fun to watch! Don't try naming them though, cause' I tried and they all ended up being "Swimmer".

This made me laugh. I had a kit of sea monkeys as well. They sold packets of banana flavored food, as if shrimp wanted banana flavored flakes. They are pretty resilient, though. You can let the whole jar dry up when the adults die. Add back some distilled water and the eggs will hatch, giving you more shrimp to watch.
