What color would you get from breeding a gold seabright and a silver seabright together?

I've tried to find pictures of what they look like but no luck.

Years back, there was a time when seabrights were getting very inbred and difficult to breed. I don't know if this problem still exists. So breeders used this technique to outcross. I don't exactly recall the results of the cross, but I believe the goldens you will get will be "washed out" in color.

I delved a little deeper and searched more and found the answer

If you cross a Gold Seabright male with a Silver Seabright female, you get the Gold X Silver sex linked results of Gold Pullets and Silver males, with the males showing brass in their necks.

If you cross a Silver male with a Gold female, all the progeny will be silver, the pullets will appear pure, but the males, as in the first cross, will show gold leakage.

That is correct, the males should look about the same in both crosses, but the females from the GL male X SL hen would be pure GL and the females from the SL male X GL hen would be pure SL

You beat me to it Rareroo

They're about 3 weeks. They're hatchery birds too. The wife wanted one and we grabbed them by accident out of a TSC assorted bantam bin. They ended up being my favorite chicks and she don't want them to much anymore lol.

Got the pictures here

If I had to make a guess I would say the Golden is a rooster and the Silver a pullet. But like the other person said, wait another week or two, then you'll know for sure.

That's what I'm hoping for lol, thanks . I kinda guessed they wouldn't be sexable for awhile.
