I was given a mess of smelts the other day and when I cleaned them I left the cleanings (heads, innards, etc) on a tray in the garage, which is connected to our henhouse. This morning I opened the connecting door while I went to get a pail of water and noticed a riot going on behind me.....seems that the little omnivores love fish...Hope the eggs don"t taste fishy.
