Sealing the floor in the coop?

Hi all,
We built our coop not to long ago, as I was in a rush to get my brood of 22 in a larger space. The coop is raised up and the floor is plywood, I had the great idea of doing the old amish white wash on the inside, which looked cool until it rained and the siding/roofing wasn't done and now it's washed off and looks terrible. now I need to figure out what to do to the floor of the coop to seal it, because of the wet spots and the chickens living in there on the plywood with shavings, I'm not entirely sure what would be the best plan of action to get the floor clean enough to actually coat with something? Any ideas are greatly appreciated. We live in the northwest so we get all the seasons here.... :)

This will take a few days so it's not an easy option if you need a place to keep the birds...

Scrape and scrub the floor clean, follow with a wash of real TSP...

Let dry completely and use a good primer like Zinsser Bullseye 123 followed by a top coat of elastomeric roofing paint...

Short of that, as said sheet linoleum would be a quick option...

I have an untreated wood floor in my coop.

My coop is well ventilated.

I keep pine shavings 8 to 10 inches deep.

Moisture never reaches the plywood floor, it is always dry.

It has never been an issue nor concern.

Hello....my coop is small inside...we went to a remant shop and got a nice size piece of vinyl to put down...very cheap...I did not glue it, I just stapled it down...it's real easy to clean out...I cover it with Pine shavings...
Take care...

i have the same size roost area and use a waterproof roofing material called rhino something u-13. i put my shavings 2 inches deep then when its time to clean,i scoop with a kitty litter scoop. after 2 weeks, i roll up the plastic and compost the chips. the plastic makes it easy to remove the chips with minimul sweeping. i put dimatacious earth in all cracks ,put the plastic material back, put 2 inches of shavings then i'm done.

change the floor. cover with a nice new piece of MDF board, dust it with diametatious earth put 2-3 inches of pine shavings in and your done. don't paint it - the birds don't care about the inside and nobody will see it. save your efforts to make the OUTSIDE look appealing to you and your family. I attempted the same internal decorative applications like fancy roosts with names where the birds roost ect. nice thought but eeent! wrong! they cant read and dont care.
