Search-able breeder list

Hello all,
I originally sent this to Nifty-Chicken and he suggested that I post it here.

I know nothing about computer programing - and only enough about using it to get around at work and on BYC. That being said, I'd like to suggest something for the forum.

Would it be possible to make some sort of searchable or sortable list of breeders?
Maybe under the 'breeds' tab? Where is says 'has it', 'wants it',.... add 'breeds it'? And then have the person's location show up next to their screen name. Just the state, of course.

That way members could easily find local breeders when they are looking to add to their flocks.

Like I said, I have NO idea what would be involved in something like that - or even if it's possible.

We appreciate these great ideas! There are a few things we can do with regard to this. For many things like this we like to start off simple and then build out more tools if there seems to be a lot of interest. For example, members often collaborate on lists using the articles section and setting the article to have permissions such that many users or even all users will be able to edit the articles.

According to that list, there is only 1 breeder in Virginia. That can't be right?
