There was a close up photo of a light brown hen with her head cocked to the side looking straight into the camera lens shortly after I joined BYC- likely March or April. She had such a funny expression and a sweet face. It was a complete "Awww, Gee!" I did not know the different breeds then and thought she was an ameraucana because of the tufts. Now I think she may have been a wheaten faverolle hen.
She was scooped up for "Picture of the Week" by the BYC staff. If you can remember the hen and know who she might belong to, or can locate the post, please let me know. I have been searching the threads for two months and BYC's search function is frustrating and worse than useless. I would like to contact the owner for permission to paint the hen from the photo.
I hope someone remembers her and can help locate her.
Thanks,
Kate
