why is there no search option on the mobile site within each thread? would save a lot of time for people I imagine.

The mobile version of the site is still pretty new and only has the core functionality, but we're adding more features to mobile all the time.

Until we have that feature for the mobile version, you can switch back to desktop and then when you are done, go back to mobile.
