This is our first year of experiencing duck eggs. I have one Rouen hen, and she started to lay eggs in January. I've seen no action in the past 2 days. She's gone a day without laying, but not more than 2 for sure. Is there a 'season' to expect duck eggs??

It really depends on the breed and their genetics. My ducks usually lay Spring, Part of Summer, then part of fall.

There are a number of things that affect laying. Off the top of my head, there are

worms or parasites
too much mating activity
change in diet
stress
temperature
infection
preparing to molt

So, aside from the laying, how has her life been lately? Hmmm. I am beginning to sound like a duck therapist.

It varies. Last year I started getting eggs in january, and this year it was about April when they started laying.

Well, of our 2 ducks, they roam freely with our turkeys and chickens. I've never wormed them, (only the other birds) mostly because I've never seen or heard of anything that I could give safely to the ducks. We only have her and a Pekin drake. He's quite aggressive with her. Her feathers on her neck have been pinched off. He's been nasty mean to everyone (mostly humans, but other birds too), since last fall. I hoped that he would get nicer after the "season", but it doesn't seem to be what's going to happen) Lately, I've been keeping the drake in "duck jail", and letting them out separately. Other than that, she's always been happy to eat lots of bugs/grubs/grass, and flock raiser. I'm not sure about molting yet? My chickens really have YET to molt? Everyone is just over a year old in age (except turkey's) Do ducks look obviously funny like chickens do when they molt? I guess I would notice a massive amount of feathers out there, but so far, none of that.

Just FYI- I recently had an Indian runner, 8 months old, who had been laying well since Easter. She didn't lay for two days and was acting funny and walking very stiff legged. She was egg bound. I caught it early and gave her a couple of hot baths and a belly massage. I worked her pelvic bones very gently, in and out. (I'm a massage therapist, so if you're not comfortable with this take her to a vet). She also got a dose of liquid calcium. She laid a HUGE misshapen egg the next day and started walking fine again.
Know your ducks behaviors and act fast if the birds are out of character.
