Seattle flock says hello!

Dream flocks are moving targets. I had chickens as a kid, and more as an adult. Just feed store chickens not really paying much attention to what I got. Then I learned I could make my own incubators. That was fun. Then I learned about different egg colors (Dark brown, Mint colored eggs, and gray eggs,) and blue feathered birds, and all black birds. Now I try and just not have anything boring. I don't have barred rocks, leghorns, or RIR.

Hi and welcome to BYC. What an outstanding flock you are building! I love many breeds of chickens (ok all of them), but breeds with muffs and beards and also polish hairdos are my top favorites, because they are so cute. Love those blue eggs too! Have fun and enjoy your chicken journey!
Oh I am OBSESSED w the beards and muffs! Who couldn’t love those 🥹❤️?!

Oh I stalked so many chicken instagrams and did so much research during my months of convincing my bf to commit to the idea 😂 So def got a good list going a while ago hahah. I learned about breeder/hatchery stock differences when starting off too. Thankful to have gotten some beautiful breeder quality birds! Our first batch are really starting to look like “chickens” now. Fun to see the changes and growth. ❤️
