Hi, Back Yard Chickens was kind enough to give me a few suggestions for my posting, so I'm going to try again :)
I live in Cottonwood, California, just out side of Redding in Shasta County. I am trying to locate a young male Sebastopol goose for my female, she is so lonely. If anyone knows of someone who has a male for sale within a couple hundred mile radius I will make the drive. All of us miss my goose.
Thank you,
Karen

Karen... Hope that info I PM'd helps you out on your gander hunt.

You have plenty of sources for goslings every spring as a number of breeders including us sell Sebastopol goslings each spring, and juveniles in the fall. It could be that you are only looking locally, instead of looking online and having them shipped to you.

Hi,
I am looking locally right now because where I live is 110 degrees and I can not imagine shipping a bird in this weather. Other wise I would be looking else where. Thank you though. Actually I think I have found a gander about 2 hours away if everything works out. I am really excited, and he is about the same age as my girl. Good luck with your search.

Hi,

Do you have male and females? The pure White Sebastopols? What do you charge for a pair and for shipping?

OOPS, I meant this post for you......
Hi,

Karen,

Yes, I have pure white birds. I don't know if I will have any pairs available. I have two people on my list already and I did not get many females this year.

I cahrge actual shipping costs based on weight and distance (usually $90-$110) and I charge $20-35 for the box depending on the box used.

I have posted a couple pictures of my juvenile here and there, but they have not finished growing out yet.

My birds range from $75 -$150 each depending on the quality.

Thank you for getting back to me so quickly. I am really curious since this is all new for me, how do you determine the quality of these beauties.
