I don't think it was a calcium deficiency. Her eggs were super thick. And chalky- like plaster. It was like all the material used to make a normal goose egg, but made 1/3 smaller.
I have the flock on a whole grains blend that's also fortified, mixed with flock raiser crumbles. Plus they graze all day and get treats. Juveniles get brewers yeast, but the adults get into it as well. Have never had anybody be deficient.
Even my goose that lost a leg was able to start laying again and grow new feathers, and she isn't nearly as mobile to graze like the others.
