Sebastopol Geese Thread !!!!!!!!!! SHOW YOUR PICS !!!!!!!!!!

Lovely whites hope you well with them. Looks like your fellow was one desparate gander to breed her right out of the box..... More like Goose in the Box instead of Jack in the Box....

Well if it is Jack... there has been a terrible mistake... lol no chance she had an egg.. I gave her half a bale of hay today and she made a what looks like a nest... Could have an egg tomorrow

Garth's Mail Order Bride arrived today safe and sound. She came bearing a gift... yes.. she sure did... She laid an egg in the shipping box :) on the way here. I put her in her 18 x 18 new yard alone and she got very vocal... I am like ok.. we will try to introduce her to Garth to see how it goes. MERCY.. his feet had bearly touch the ground and he was on top of her breeding.. I looked at him and said.. UMM you didn't read the same book I did .... did ya? lol

They appear to be very happy together :)

Thank you Amy :)
That's hysterical!

Boy while they are in breeding season the girls feathers look awful!!! Our girls have mud all over their backs and feathers torn out. Basically they look abused by the ganders.

Plus with the snow then melting then mud it makes them a total mess even with bathing water. They get clean then the gander mounts them again there goes the bath. The ganders get into fights and pull each other feathers out.

They sure do..... Garth has this ritual... every morning when I come to fill up the 3 gal heated water pail.... He expects me to pour water from the jug over his head and back.. and IF I don't he gets really upset... hisses... flaps his wings.. honks... then proceeds to try to climp up on the bucket to get over the fence..... Shall we say SPOILED... uh huh.. settles right down after I dump water on his head.. lol silly goose.

This wasn't too long ago, give them another month and everybody will look like they've been fighting with lawnmowers. Oy- even my ganders look like heck already :(

So glad to see this post. I keep looking at all the lovely pictures thinking I would be ashamed to post pictures currently of mine. Most of mine have the muddy looks from all the snow and melting lately or the lawn mower look.

Got a EGG from the African group yesterday.
