Hum, then I bought 2 from someone here on BYC last summer.....and I think I have a few in there that are offspring of birds I sold last fall after the fire so they would be from my own birds....it's all kind of muddled.....lol. I do know that lurking in there somewhere is a bird (possibly 2) that carry a color gene so every once in a while last year I was getting a splash....unfortunately these usually had less curl....
Anyway, I know that was clear as mud but so much has come and gone in the last few years it's sometimes hard to keep straight....
Julie, my dew's are still doing the neck-wrestle thing but it seems the females are trying to prepare a nest. The buffs have been nest-building for a few weeks now so they need to get on with it....lol. I don't know what I'm so anxious about - I only have 1 small bator left as the rest were in the house when it burned and even the one I have I need to make an expansion ring for
