Sebastopol goose not feeling well

you can feed just the all flock/flock raiser in off season and layer in breeding season to help reduce the cost with mazuri. The grains you offer are great. Will she let you hold her? if so feel her abdomen VERY softly and see if it is squishy or if it feels firm (you are feeling for an egg but dont push hard). Otherwise I am at a loss and suggest a Vet appointment.

Thank you CelticOaks,
I can hold her so I will feel her abdomen the next time I visit her tonight. I have already started searching for a vet in our area and plan to get her in Monday or Tuesday.

I will try the all flock & flock raiser I know my feed store does have these on hand. I have used the flock raiser for the baby ducks, and geese, but haven't used it when they were older.

Well shoot, I have another symptom tonight. She is congested and sneezing up fluid. I have Tylan in the cabinet, I have given this to chickens in the past, I don't know if I can give it to a goose or not? I checked her abdomen and it is soft. I have 3 exotic bird vets to call tomorrow to see if they treat geese. She is sucking down lots of water, did she get some in her lungs? Thanks everyone!

I sure hope you can get her in to one of the vets asap.

I'm pretty sure you can give Tylan to geese but i don't know dosage.

I gave Ginger a tiny bit of Tylan on Sunday night. I called around looking for a vet on Monday. Monday evening she was nibbling on lettuce and banana. I gave her a little more tylan and am still looking for a vet to take her to. The three vets I called do not take "farm animals" They are into parrots, lizards etc.

My husband had some luck and found a vet that works out of a a feed store across town. I have an appointment on Thursday morning. This morning she ate some banana and started eating grass as soon as I put her out in the yard. This evening when I got home Ginger flapped her wing and ran up to me with Fred, they ate lettuce and went for a swim in the pond. I am going to give her 1 more dose of tylan tonight and take her to the vet Thursday.

I think she is on the mend, but am not going to count my chickens before they hatch so to speak. Thank you for all you help, I appreciate all your guidance and advice. Best wishes to you all!

I measured out 0.02ML tylan and gave it to her orally not injected. I have a problem with needles and am always afraid I will injure them trying to give a shot.
