I noticed about a week that her foot had a cut and some dried blood. She had been in and out of the pool though afterward so when I put them to bed it didn't look bad. But yesterday she was limping bad on it and holding her leg up, and letting her partner run the yard while she stayed in one place. I had my DD help me and we got her and she held her while I looked good at the toe and her whole right side of the foot was hot, so I'm assuming it's infected and it's bumblefoot. I've got her in a pen and called the vet this morning, still waiting for them to call me back to see if they can get her in or will even help me with her. But if they can't I'm going to have to do it myself and it scares me! What do I use to cut her open a razor blade? do I do it right in the middle or the side, all this just scares me, I don't want to do the wrong thing and cause more damage! I'm praying the vet will help me and then I can rest easy!
I pm'd Nettie for shoes already!

I will post the link about the non-invasive bumblefoot cure - hoep it works out for you!!
I've never tried it, but when or if Iever need to, this is one I will use

Thank you Jerseygirl!!! I'm still waiting on the vet to call but I've tried our local stores and they don't carry that, don't know if my vet would have it either but I'll check when he calls. I can order it to come in but really don't want to wait that long for it.
Petco carries something else and I don't know if this would work as well...

Her partner is not happy she is away from him, so yesterday we pulled her kennel outside so they could be together. She does seem to be doing better and is standing on it. I soaked it for 10minutes last night in the Pimafix and will continue that through the weekend and if it's not getting better then I'll take her to the vet on Monday. He said they have not worked on a goose before or with bumblefoot but they were willing to do the cut and extract what they found and give her something for the infection. Soo figure I'll try this 1st and hopefully avoid the surgery. I'll keep you posted!
