SEBBIES HATCHED!!!!

Bit by bit. Following the line where it has pipped. Also, as you are helping have some q tips and warm water by incase the membrane is dry and you need to wet it. If you see large veins still engorged with blood, then stop and wait a couple hours before trying again.

Hopefully they are just resting, and will pop out overnight. Good luck!

yup, do it like that but I have to say the first time I hatched my seb eggs I got impatient and tried to help them after a day and it wasn't ready to come out, he died. I would defiantly wait at least a day and a half or 2 days, but honestly, none of mine really need help. They just take a little longer to hatch than chickens. Just get a good book and stop peeking.....lol. I am sure some of the other ladies on here have some good advice, they just haven't found the thread yet.

I am on day 28 and I was expecting them to pip by now (internally) but no one is in teh air cell now.....
...thanks for posting this because I have heard so many stories of internal pipping starting at day 28 for the most part...and when they are taking longer..it makes me worrried...so now I know it might not be until Sunday that they can pip internally...thanks you all for the hope

I follow the same prodcedure as above and, I make sure they break the last part of the egg and get out by themselves.

In other words, I never pull them out of the shell.

More than likely they will NOTrequire help. If they are happy and talkin to each other, all is well. Please dont assume they will need help. I have had goslings pipped for 3 days before they hatch! It is NOT common practice that they need to be helped. Please be patient!

Right...I'd be WAY TOO scared to even attempt that! Oh and BTW, the others I got from you looked pretty good at last candling. Four had veins & were growing!
