I have a Sebright (bantam) that had two chicks to a wild red jungle fowl standard size.
One chick died at 8 weeks and the other at 91/2 weeks... this morning.
I feed them medicated starter, they free ranged with there mother.
I don't know if the crossing of a bantam with a standard is a problem, I think this is my main question
or if they had some disease.
The chick that died this morning was shaking it's head and throwing up for about 3 hours before it died.
It was fine yesterday and all it's time growing up.
There coloring never really looked like a sebright. They looked alot like their mother but did'nt have the sebright color... more just black
