Sebright laying lots of eggs and egg bound issue

I just made her a midnight snack with sheep yogurt and crushed oyster shell with some oats. She's doing a bit better than she was this afternoon, and she enjoyed my calcium concoction very much! Also put olive oil on her vent so if she does lay tonight it won't be so rough.
That’s good! Cooked cream of wheat is also a healthy supplement to provide when hens need extra vitamins & minerals- packed full of B vitamins, calcium, vitamin D and iron. My older hens love it before and during molt or when they feel peaky. Hope she continues to improve!

Hello I hope your chicken feels better soon. May I ask where you bought your Sebrights?
I only have the one (unless you count her two daughters, which are only half sebright and self hatched), and got her from an assorted bantams bin at my local feed store. Unfortunately they closed years ago, but are you looking for some to add to your flock? Sebrights are hands down my favorite bantam!

Hello Yes I was thinking about buying Sebrights. They are very cute.

They have very strong personalities and are friendly, curious little birds. They are lots of fun to watch!
Just a warning- they are very flighty and require an enclosed run.
Here's an article on Sebrights, I'd read some of the comments/reviews too so you get an idea about other people's personal experiences with them.

She was egg bound this morning, but managed to pass her egg without any assistance. After that, she was back to her usual perky self. Seems like the calcium worked really great really fast!
Should I give her daily yogurt (or every other day?) while she's going through "Henopause"?

Hello Thank you for these. They say Sebrights are "Purely Ornamental" does that mean you cannot eat the eggs?

Also I noticed that her voice is a bit hoarser than usual. Only very slightly, but I know what her normal peeps and squawks sound like and the sounds she's making are slightly off to me.

Last night she was having trouble balancing on her perch. Poor thing was using her wings to keep herself upright. Do hens usually have poor balance during this time? Also how long does henopause last on average?
