I'm new to this site and I've got gold and silver sebrights and I now all about them and is this is unusual for my gold sebright hen to go broody?

This is ny gold sebright hen before she went broody and she was at the show at the time

does she stay on the eggs most of the day? Do you have a rooster? If not the eggs wouldn't be fertile and will never hatch

Glad you joined us! That's a very pretty hen. I'm afraid Sebrights is one of the "non-broody" breeds, i.e. they are very unlikely to go broody, though there are always exceptions.

I've got a rooster and she stayed in the eggs nearly all day and she stayed on them the full 21 days and out of 8 or 9 3 hatched and she is a good mother too and she isn't that old about 12 months and a bit old
