**~~>>Second Annual Cinco de Mayo Turkey Hatchathon<<~~**all poultry welcome!

Quote: definitely and make sure that the people you take deposits for KNOW THEY ARE NON refundable. Boy I could tell you stories! You know I found ebay classifieds is AMAZING for selling puppies free of charge, just in case you weren't aware of it! Good Luck with them!

PS I might have egg bombed someone today via USPS. Turkens, UNITE.

Wisher - Did I hear you saying you wanted ducks? Cause I have duck eggs... out the wazoo. This past weekend I egg bombed all my neighbors with chicken, duck and turkey eggs. I left the guy at the end of the road some eggs (he mistakenly left his house unlocked) and he actually walked here to ask what the heck they were...
You are more than welcome to egg bomb me!

Yes, I have four duck eggs (thanks to Jessshan8) cooking right now. My bators are full right now. Let me see how these do and get a pen built for them and I will let you know!
I am with SCG! I want to candle. I want to see a bouncing baby turkey silhouette.
Alright, you two, don't make me start handing out these

It's a nasty responsibility, but somebody has to do it.

Your poem is just dandy
I like the last line
Cuz that kind of soup
will help me feel fine
But stress over hatching is making me nuts
I can't wait to meet
These new fluffy butts

:D I love it! (I love the term fluffy butts, and now I get to double use it because we cloth diaper, and that's a term we use for babes in cloth! lol!)

Egg-bombing is pure awesomeness. Just saying. Someone can egg-bomb me with some runners, or silver appleyards, or buff brahma's, or bantam cochins, or heritage breed turkeys anytime! lol!

Grabbed a new, lower wattage bulb when I ran by the grocery store today...switched it out and made a few minor adjustments to the bator, and it's now holding steady at 99, with 47% humidity. I'll take it. :) Just hoping I get something to hatch out of the 13 I set...the bator is full too. I homeschool, so we made little duckling observation books today, and we candled all the eggs before we put them in...now we will candle on day 7, and re-observe. What's the earliest I could see something? I got my new mini maglight and I can already tell I'm going to be a candle-a-holic (this is almost as bad as being a POAS addict when you think you're expecting! lol!)

Alright, one more bator check and I'm off to bed...sewing to do in the morning, local swap, a stop at the re-store, and then home to hopefully get some "farm" stuff done!

Ok let me explain

Woke up to
1duck 3 bannies. 1 polish 1 black chick

It is nice to be joining in again in the Cinco de Mayo hatch again as last year was fun. When I set my eggs I didn't even realize it was so close to the hatch but am so glad that it is and I get to join. On Friday I set 41 dozen eggs that I collect on a long road trip that was 200 miles. Most are chicken eggs that will hatch a week before the hatch date of the 5th, but I did get the turkey eggs and guinea eggs that will hatch just a few days before. I really hope the turkey eggs hatch. Last year the eggs I got ended up not being fertile, but these are from a different person so i am hoping all goes well. I may also go pick up some more goose eggs today, but it depends on my schedule. I pretty much have all the turkeys pre-sold already, I have someone that wants 4-8 of them, just hope they hatch well. And today is my birthday.
Wow, that's a lot of eggs! Happy Birthday!

Still in!!!! Didn't see myself on the list! Not sure of the exact count, but it should be around 40ish. Only chickens, although I did try to find 2 or 3 turkey eggs, but couldn't find anyone who wasn't charging shipping for 12+, so it's just chickens. Amazing chickens though!
