**~~>>Second Annual Cinco de Mayo Turkey Hatchathon<<~~**all poultry welcome!

Nice!!!!! Did you really set them by the light of the moon...sounds so romantic :)

Got six hens and handsome roo
That's not enough you know that's true
My husbands so sweet but he would squawk
If he knew of my dream to quadruple my flock

36 six in the bator 25 through the mail
He looks at me and says "What the HAIL!"
"I know" I reply but check these out dear
Lavender Orp and Partridge Chantecler!!!

He loves the birds too
And builds coops that are snug
But he hasn't been bitten
By the BYC bug

So for now that dream is on the DL
But as you all know only time will tell
Hatchers embark on a slippery path
That leads them straight into advanced chicken math
Well, it was night, but not clear enough for much moonlight

lol.. need to send some emu eggs your way.. no way to candle them and they take around 55 days (give or take depending on bator temps) now they will keep ya in suspense!

Lol, very this is my first time hatcing turkey eggs, so I'm really excited and impatient  OMG 55 days :the  I couldn't wait that long, okay well technically I did, a friend tried to hatch some for me but no go, but they weren't here in my bator so it was easily forgotten every now and then. And I didn't have a hatch-a-thon group to remind me we are hatching. :D

Okay just wanted to say I blame you all :plbb first I did the new years hatch, then I did a birthday hatch, then an easter hatch, now I have a cinco de mayo hatch, and a mother's day hatch. Plus about 4 broody hatches. Well at lock up tonight I counted all my chicks. 112  :th (includes guineas, quail, ducks, turkeys and chicks) no wonder I'm going through 50# of chick starter a week good golly molly!!!!!! And you know what I blame you all, first no,one warns me how addicting chickens are or anything about chicken math. And now, now everyone waits until after I'm fully addicted to hatching go say be careful its addicting. if it wasn't for all these hatch-a-long-a-thons, I'd be fine, not buried up to my eyeballs in chicks......................and also extremely bored :plbb

tommysgirl you sure you don't want different colors????

These beautiful specimens belong to Dan Powell. If I hatch ones half as nice I will be ecstatic!

TAZ you have WWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY more patience than I do. I wouldn't have lasted that long with my own mother let alone a stranger!

You probably made her day and KUDOS to you for it!!!!

I have an EE roo that looks similar to the top pic, this was 5 weeks ago. His colors are much better now except for the lacing on his chest

Need some advice First time turkey hatching so ALL is welcome

UM is the temp the same and what the Heck is dry hatch ? Just throw them all in together, assuming you'll have a separate place to hatch, unless you put the chicken eggs in a week later..

So do those eggs count ? You can count anything you want, there is no contest for hatch rate, at least not at the moment.
