Well just went out to the coop and candled my 8 eggs.
In all seriousness, I don't give any of them much hope. I did pull two obvious clear and scrambled, so I'm down to 6. Only two looked like something was developing with an air sac intact, but at only 8 days I suppose they won't look too developed. 2 looked like obvious blood rings, but I left them just in case. Next Monday, I'll candle again (day 14) and take out any others that look like they are not developing. I hope that the feed stores will be selling newborns about the 6th or 7th of May.
When you figure those eggs came ALL THE WAY FROM MAINE, you know they had to get a bump or two.
Can't wait to see what they look like next week.
