ok all you Hatchers on the thread...... have a look at what I have in the bator, an shelless embryo!

If Humpty makes it I will be in total amazement, but he is still alive on day 19!

I figured I should share, just in case the little dude makes it all the way!
Sally, I've had broodies crush eggs in 'lockdown' without tearing the outer membrane many, many times over the years (I'm sure my grandmother dealt with it at some point too) and had every one of them hatch. Remember, they are more resilient than we think!

Oh, and I made it so long without looking into that thread - I have a touch of obsession about reading threads from the beginning - but I had to see Humpty. Subscribed. NOT reading from the start. I can do this... :lau

Ok...got the temp stable in the LG and got all the eggs moved over...I'm not giving up on ay of them, but I'm not expecting more than a couple to hatch...we'll see I suppose though...6 days! Squee!

Quote: No turning back now. They break out the ball and chain over there!!

I want to go spend time with the chickens, but I've been confined to the couch.

My feet look 3xs their normal size, so mom has me kicked back on the couch and I am not happy. I move around at lot during the day, so being stuck on the couch is killing me.

ETA: I can't believe I forgot about this, I still have 15 quail going strong. I have several eggs I'm not sure about, but I have yet to toss any.

Now this is the kind of sleeping chick that gets your heart thumping.

Our week old goslings cruising in the living room with DH.
snacking on chopped lettuce here.
it's amazing how quickly they grow.

And tomorrow the rest of the crew is supposed to arrive
