**~~>>Second Annual Cinco de Mayo Turkey Hatchathon<<~~**all poultry welcome!

I think a chocolate cake is an excellent idea. I'll still spare you the 1200 other vacation photos but after what I came home to... chocolate cake is a must. Thanks for the idea.

I bet a great story is coming soon....

Jody also talked me into the Kanarra Falls hike. It was totally awesome and most of the "rickety" ladders were there.

Six!! Wooop wooop! I have a pen to finish or I'd be glued to the incubator all day. I haven't seen any of these ones actually hatch.

I bought eggs rather than chicks knowing that if I got more than five to hatch I'd be ahead...and I am there now so the rest that hatch will be a super bonus!!!

For anyone considering Angel's Landing, two pictures for you.
This one is right before you hit "the chains"

But the view is sooooo worth it!

Okay now, that's two shots of my posterior in the last 10 posts.

I think we've all seen enough.

My "coming home" story isn't that great... I have a strict no dog policy here.

While I was gone BF's friends showed up with two dogs and two cats.

They let the dogs run rampant all over the house (including into many rooms that I don't even allow my own cats to go into) and their dogs slept on my sisters handmade quilt. It was covered in dog hair, mud and what looked like oil. It seems to have survived the gentle cycle of the wash well enough, let's hope that got the stains out.

I have probably 5 more loads of laundry for all the sheets and blankets that their animals slept all over... and I need to finish vacuuming and then mop because there was also fecal accidents on the floor. I've been cleaning for hours. Not exactly what I wanted to come home to. It would have been much better had they confined the animals to the "main" part of the house, where my cats are allowed. Then I wouldn't have to do so much cleaning.

Good thing BF is over their house helping them unpack and setting up their washer/dryer for them. He does not need to be here to hear my kvetching.

Love the vacation pics!

What a great weekend! Yesterday was the annual swap/meeting for okies on the byc. Today I have two poults out, and 2 pipped (one on wrong end though). Then went to get eggs from my layer flock and lost several layers of skin to my spitzhauben. I have a broody! Made up the broody pen and put her in. If she takes to that she will get to raise some chickies!
