Second Bumble foot surgery, no pus

About two months ago I treated my Bielefelder hen for bumble foot. I pulled off the scab and the underside was a bit yellowish, but I didn't see a core or pus or anything. Now, a few days ago, I treated her again because the bumble foot didn't go away. Same thing, the scab was yellowish and a little wet, but that was it. I have been putting antibiotic cream and vetericyn spray in the wound. I also intend to soak the foot, and put some oil of oregano, a proven natural antibiotic, in her water. Is there anything else I can do? This is my first time treating bumble foot.

It won't heal up over night....give it a week and see what it looks like then.

It does not look bad.

Hi! Just curious if your chicken really did heal up fine from just taking the scab off? I have the same problem and both my chickens didn’t have much puss or anything at all.

She seemed to be healing up fine. She stopped limping, and the scab had almost vanished. I unfortunately lost her about a month later to unknown causes.
