Second failure...why can't I hatch eggs?

Frankly, I hate the Little Giant incubators. I never had a good hatch from them. If you can, upgrade to something better. And a good hygrometer is well worth the money. Sorry you're having such problems.

If you get a cheap hygrometer at walmart you can calibrate it. Instructions are on BYC on how to do that. Also, if your still air 'bator has hot spots maybe rotate the eggs from spot to spot as well as turning them. I used a cardboard egg carton for my hatch, it was very easy to turn the eggs, I just raised one side of the cartons. I had to cut the cartons so they would hold some of the bigger eggs, but it sure did make hand turning easy. I have never used a commercial incubator, as I built mine, but I was wondering if you could get one of those little battery operated fans at Walmart and put inside of it. Maybe put it in a little wire box so the chicks can't get to it when they hatch. You might use a lot of batteries, not sure about that.

I ran my humidity at about 30-35 and then raised in gradually starting on day 16 to 65-75 for lockdown.
